Ron Paul and the Wing nut supporters

Many people don't support Ron Paul, despite the fact that he believes what many of them believe. Why not? Plenty of reasons. Valid? Maybe. Maybe not.

One reason is because he has wing nut supporters. Brothels support him. "Patriots" support him. Sure. We get it. That's great. Guess who else supports him? Most of our military. Decent people. Do you honestly think that all of Ron Paul's supporters are just pipe-smokin' hippies? People who read the news and are very well educated support him too. How about our youth? That 20-30 year old demographic that is constantly connected to the internet, gets most of its news from the internet and is less likely to be swayed by a single source, like Fox news which is blatantly Republican for example. It isn't because Ron Paul is a nut - it's because he speaks truth.

Oh, so you don't agree with him, do you? He's anti-abortion! He's anti-gay! He wants to disband the Department of Energy! He wants to get rid of the Department of Education! Well that's fabulous. You don't have to agree with him. That's the beauty of his campaign.

You see, Ron Paul is not like the other candidates for President. He has charm. He knows what he's talking about. He's different. He believes in the Constitution. He wants power to the states. He wants to put the decisions in the power of the states. He wants to reverse the centralization of government that King George has been acquiring these past seven years. It isn't about whether he believes in abortion - he wants to give that choice to individual states. Gay rights? States decision. Department of Energy or Education? Don't you think that states could better localize that revenue for themselves? Like build a bridge with less bureaucracy that actually doesn't collapse? Many issues that people bicker over and choose their candidate over become non-issues. If Ron Paul was elected, we would worry less about candidate's personal beliefs and more about their public beliefs, in other words, how they will actually lead the nation.

Most importantly, he's against the war. Look, 70% of America is against the war. Why would they vote for a candidate that was for the war? Maybe because they are idiots and vote for candidates because they like what tv shows they watch. Are you for the war? Do you think it's America's responsibility to govern other nations, thus inspiring them to hate us? Vietnam is an excellent example - we became friends with them after we decided to stop fighting them. I believe we should protect our own, but aren't we creating more enemies by forcing our beliefs on others? Plus, we spend billions of dollars on the war. How much good could we accomplish if we spent that money elsewhere, like getting rid of our debt, or researching cancer, or educating our public more? There's a heck of a lot that we could do with those billions of dollars. We barely spend 1/1000th of that much on either education or non-direct military research. That outrages me.

Well, why isn't Ron Paul doing better?

Are you sure he's not? Money speaks. Ron Paul is only 1% behind Mitt Romney and 5% behind Rudy Guiliani in money raised. Oh, he'll raise that much money. He's already raised 4 million dollars in one day. He might just do it again.

It's hard to judge exactly how well he's doing simply because polls are biased. If you take an internet or straw poll it will be biased towards Ron Paul, plain and simple. If you believe a CNN or Gallup poll, it will be biased towards the candidates they want to win. Don't believe me? Do you think it makes a difference, when polled, if Mitt Romney's name appears/is said first, and Ron Paul's name is last or not shown at all? You bet it makes a difference.

Maybe the reason why Ron Paul isn't doing better is because he can't be bought off. Maybe the reason why Rudy Guiliani is doing so well is because he can be bought off by corporations. The reason why Ron Paul is given so little air time and Romney and Guiliani are given so much is the very corporations that own the media, that control the debates, are the ones who benefit from them being elected.

There is a huge difference in how the candidates are treated, and why they are treated the ways they are treated. The reason why Hillary Clinton is doing so well isn't because she's wonderful. (I think she's a witch. If any other candidate had the same history that she had, they'd be ousted already.) It's because she's given most of the air time - in the debates, or on tv. It's pure and simple advertising. The more you see a product, the more you think you want it, no matter how revolting and disgusting it may be. And if you don't know the other choices exist, then you think you have no choice.

Fox News asked to explain why Ron Paul had brothels donating to his campaign. They displayed "Brothels support Ron Paul" for at least a minute, while asking Ron Paul a question. I thought that was disgusting. How low can you go Fox? I think it's a smear campaign. Honestly, can you promise me that brothels don't support Obama, Hillary, or Romney? At least Ron Paul has real people supporting him, unlike the fake lists that Hillary had of people donating, people who didn't even exist.

Will he be good in the White House? I ask you, does it matter? Will he be able to command control over others? I counterpoint, do you think Bush does? If a monkey like Bush can do so much bad in the White House, then an honest man, who actually believes in the Constitution should be able to at least open the doors for the people to lead the nation. We have entered the digital age - it is time for some reform. It is time for a more open government. Our current government keeps secrets from us. Secrets are kept to keep power over another group. They are never meant otherwise.

Do you think Ron Paul has no chance of winning? Well, that depends. He certainly is shown to have quite a great chance. The question will be, does voting actually matter or is the system already too rigged? He has the support of many people. Many people believe at least more of what he says than what other people say. He is at least honest, direct, and correct. I guess the most major question to answer whether Ron Paul has a chance of winning is, do you think that he has a chance? In the end, it will be your opinion that decides.
